Goole RSPCA Dog Show A Barking Mad Success....

Everyone enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of family fun at a very busy Goole and District RSPCA Dog Show on Saturday 23rd June at West Park Goole. With 60 entries for 'Prettiest Eyes' category alone it was a tough afternoon's judging whether it was the waggiest tail or the best six legs.
A bumper amount of stalls attended from crafts to RSPCA tombola, Jerry Greens, Greyhound Rescue, a packed have a go agility course thanks to Positive Dog Training Solutions, Clan Shots Photography were on hand to capture prize winning pooches and of course a keenly fought Best in Show in the finale.
A barking mad £1191.74 has been raised so far. With a few more monies to come in the charity expect the final total to top £1200.
Press Officer and Secretary Georgina Petty said "We cannot thank you all enough but a special thank you to the ever enthusiastic Cllr Ian Blackburn giving his time once again, all the volunteers who worked their socks off, Elaine Cowling with the amazingly busy agility course and judging once again"
"Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters, Peppers Marquees, all our judges, everyone at West Park from stall holders to the dazzling dogs and their owners, you've all made a huge difference to animals in Goole and beyond"

It's kinder to neuter.

This is Luke, who recently cam into foster care. Sadly his owner didn't have him neutered and he was made to live outside because of his strong Tom cat smell. He has had a tough time on the streets as a full tom. Now neutered and receiving lots of love and care he is getting ready to have a second chance at happiness and will soon be looking for his forever home. Please spread the news of our neutering scheme so we don't have more cases like Luke's.

Retirement homes needed

Recently the branch has taken in a large number of older cats from a loving and caring home due to unfortunate circumstances. All the cats we rescued are some of the most friendly and loving cats we have had the pleasure to care for, they love human attention and just need that special someone to give them a new forever home. Most of the cats are of a more mature age, they have all had full checks at the vets including dentals and have all been given a clean bill of health. All we need now is some special cat lovers who know that age is just a number to give these adorable OAP's (old age puss) a loving secure forever home.
Please see our adopt a cat page for photo's and details of all our lovely ladies & gents.

Blankets

We can not thank enough the kind people of Goole and District who have so kindly made and donated so many wonderful blankets to our appeal. We have had so many donated that we now have enough for the rest of this year and well into next year. As we have very limited storage facilities it is with regret that we can not take any more blankets at the moment. Once again a hugh thank you to everyone who quickly came to the rescue when we were in need.
